Wende joined the AEMERUS team bringing to our cadre of deep executive experience 20 years of senior sales management, marketing knowledge and provider relations skills. Her exceptional problem solving skills and strong analytical abilities are showcased in some of the following career highlights:


As the owner and operator of WDJ Consulting, Wende has worked with a number of major health service providers to, among other tasks, develop and implement marketing and product distribution strategies, stem losses and effect turnarounds for financially struggling IPAs, develop strategic plans to improve hospital and physician relations and leverage these improved relationships to improve revenues. Some of her past clients includes, One Health Plan of California, Great West Life, Rx America, and Total Health Advocacy Partners.


As Vice President of Business Development and Account Management for CHD Meridian, Wende led the company in opening the west coast market for on-site medical clinics for fortune 100 companies and union accounts. She implemented state of the art Clinical Outcomes focused reporting and pricing mechanisms for existing clients thereby allowing the company to enjoy in-group growth and expansion. She introduced a distribution strategy of aligning agents and employer consultants with CHD Meridian to improve overall sales results.


As the Major Account Consultant for Blue Shield of California, Wende's restructuring of the Account Management team for CALPERS resulted in the first ever A rating on Performance Guarantees. She developed jeopardy account profiling that resulted in 95% retention of accounts identified as potential losses.


In her role as Director of Labor and Trust with HealthNet, Wende managed the division with over 350,000 Taft-Hartley Trusts and other union members. She worked directly with providers, both Medical Groups and Hospital systems to increase membership growth reduce costs and foster collaborative relationships. She introduced Medicare Risk, Medicare Supplement and Medicare Advantage Plan strategies into the commercial business unit to generate growth for the Senior Products Division of Health Net and to solidify large account loyalty.
